Early life and career
Martyn was born to Stephen and Lorraine Ford, and grew up in his hometown of Stafford. As a child, Martyn excelled at sports such as soccer, basketball and cricket during his high school years, leaning towards cricket, hoping to play on a professional level one day.
However, after sustaining an injury at the age of 20, he had to give up on his dream and his life took him in a completely different direction. In the following months, Martyn started training at the gym to recover from his injury, and discovered that his true passion lay in bodybuilding.
Martyn soon began working as a personal trainer, and quickly built up a loyal following of clients. His impressive height set him apart from other bodybuilders, and he began competing in bodybuilding competitions, quickly becoming one of the most recognizable figures in the sport.
Martyn has competed in several bodybuilding and fitness competitions in his career, placing third in the 2013 UKBFF Junior Bodybuilding Championships. The following year, he competed in the Miami Pro Bodybuilding Championships and placed second in the under-110kg (242lb) category.
