Amy Okuda is an American award-winning actress, perhaps best known to the world as Tinkerballa in the web series “The Guild” (2007-2013), and recently as Julia in the TV series “Atypical” (2017-2021), among other roles that she’s secured so far in her young career.

Amy Kei Okuda was born on 6 March 1989 under the Pisces zodiac sign, in Torrance, California USA. Of Japanese ancestry, since both of her parents are Japanese, she has a sister, Lisa Okuda who works at Disney. While in school, she started taking dancing lessons, and as she got older became interested in acting.
After high school matriculation, she enrolled at the University of South California, from which she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Cinematic Arts.
Career Beginnings
Before making her acting debut, Amy’s first interaction with a camera was in music videos as a dancer and in television commercials. Moreover, she featured in the print ads for Apple laptops and Verizon, and could be seen in commercials for the Japanese soft-drink Company Suntory, and Shoe Carnival, which is an American retailer of family footwear. However, her on-screen acting debut happened in 2007 with a minor role in the TV series “Californication”.
The same year, she was selected for the part of Tinkerballa in the comedy series “The Guild”, which showcases the lives of members of the online guild the Knights of Good. Amy starred in 59 episodes of the critically acclaimed series trough to 2013, next to Felicia Day, Sandeep Parikh, and Jeff Lewis who were the main stars of the series. Her character serves as a therapist for the lead character named Sam, who is portrayed by Kier Gilchrist, and she was the main cast for the first two seasons, but was later demoted to recurring and guest star in seasons three and four.
She is currently working on several projects, including the comedy film “Liked”, which is currently in post-production and will star Sam Lerner, Alycia Debnam-Carey, and Jack DePew. Furthermore, Amy will appear in the horror mystery-drama series “Yellowjackets”, scheduled for premiere in November this year.

However, Amy has been married to Mitchell Hashimoto since 3 November 2018; the two dated for a few months before becoming engaged in April 2017, with Mitchell popping the question in front of the Eiffel Tower. They don’t have children.
Amy’s husband is a Bachelor of Science graduate in computer science of the University of Washington, and started his own company HashiCorp in 2012. At first, he served as the company’s CEO, but in 2016 switched to the position of CTO.

An avid traveler, Amy has visited numerous US states, both for work and pleasure, and has also been to such cities as London, Paris and Venice, among others. She has stated that Bora Bora in French Polynesia is her favorite vacation destination.
She is an animal lover and has a pet dog, a Maltese named Lola, which is rather important to her, since her Instagram is full of pictures and videos of her pet. Moreover, her Instagram bio reads, “I work to give my dog a good life”.
Amy is well aware of the importance of mental health and has been focused on maintaining a clear and conscious mind, practicing yoga and mediating daily.
