Who is Anna Paulina Luna?

American politician, model and social media star Anna Paulina Luna (nee Mayerhofer) was born in Santa Ana, California USA, on 6 May 1989, so Taurus is her zodiac sign. She’s probably known best for her transition from a swimsuit model to a US representative for Florida’s 13th congressional district, while she’s also known for becoming the first American-Mexican woman from Florida to be elected to Congress.

Education and early life

Anna was raised alongside her brother and sister in various cities in California, by their mother Monica Todd who was an elementary school teacher, and father George Mayerhofer who was an architect; Monica’s of Mexican-American descent, while George has Mexican and German ancestry. Anna’s paternal grandfather was German and fought on their side in World War 2.

Anna’s parents weren’t married, and split when she was still a young girl; her mother married another man when Anna was eight, and some of the cities in which the family lived while Anna was growing up were Los Angeles, Aliso Viejo and Santa Ana, while she calls Santa Monica her hometown.

She studied at a local high school in Los Angeles, and upon matriculating in 2007 chose to focus on her career, but eventually enrolled into University of West Florida in 2014, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2017.

Early career

From 2009 through 2014, Anna served in the US Air Force as an airfield specialist; she was initially station at Missouri’s Whiteman Air Force Base prior to moving to Florida’s Hurlburt Field.

In 2013, while still serving in the US Air Force, Anna was featured in the magazine “Hot Clicks” and worked half-time as a cocktail waitress at the strip club Red Rose Gentlemen’s Club, while the following year saw her featured in the magazine “Maxim”.

In 2018, she was hired by the American non-profit organization Turning Point USA as the director of Hispanic engagement, and was in November of the same year invited to appear in the show “Fox News”, in which she compared American politician and diplomat Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton to herpes -the show’s anchor Arthel Neville and host Rick Leventhal apologized to viewers.

In 2020, Anna was featured in the documentary movie “Americanos”, and the same year saw her make an appearance at the event We Build the Wall as vice president of the non-profit organization Bienvenido.

Since March 2021, she’s been working as the chief correspondent for El American English, a conservative digital media network.

Career as a politician

It was in 2018 that Anna chose to run for Congress, entering the Republican primary in September 2019, with American attorney and politician Matt Gaetz endorsing her; some of the other people who also endorsed Anna were former mayor of St. Petersburg, Florida David William ‘Bill’ Foster, the group Students for Trump and politician Elise Stefanik. Anna won the Republican primary, but lost in the election to lawyer and politician Charles Joseph Crist Jr.

She was elected as the US Representative in the 2022 election after having defeated politician Eric Lynn, who had been a senior advisor to former US President Barrack Obama; Anna was endorsed by former US President Donald Trump.

She’s also an author, having released two books: “Marrying the Beret: The Untold Stories of US Special Operations” in 2018, and “Bringing Them Home” in 2021.

Anna’s views

Anna stated in June 2022 that she believed the 2020 US presidential election to have been a fraud, and that Donald Trump actually won those elections; she also attended the premiere of the conspiracy theory movie “2000 Mules”, which was supposed to prove that fraud had occurred.

Anna refers to herself as a ‘pro-life extremist’, and favors the abortion ban.

In August 2022, she stated that she favors the ban of US oil exports, as to increase the US oil supply.

She’s against gun control.

Most recently, in 2023, Anna and 46 other Republicans signed a decree which directed US President Joe Biden to withdraw US troops from Syria in half a year.

Anna’s disputed claims

Anna’s stated that she was raised a Messianic Jew because her father’s Jewish, but her family has stated that none of them are Jewish, and that she was raised Catholic.

She’s stated that her entire family’s Mexican, even though her paternal grandfather was from Germany.

Anna states that she had a rough childhood, that her father was a drug addict and that her mother relied on government assistance. Some of her cousins have since stated that Anna has lied, and that her family were always there for her while she was growing up, while some of the Air Force members who served with her have spoken about her telling them that she had nannies while growing up, and that she always wore designer clothes.

Stalking injunctions

Anna sought a stalking injunction against her uncle Edward Mayerhofer in 2020, after he claimed that she wrote lies in her biography.

She then sought a stalking injunction against politician William Braddock in June 2021, after he made threats to order her murder; she was indeed granted a temporary injunction, and William dropped out of the race.

Love life and marriage

Anna avoids speaking about her love life in public, but it’s known that she’s today married to US Air Force combat controller Andrew Gamberzky, whom she met while she was serving in the Air Force; the date of their wedding hasn’t been disclosed, but it’s believed that they exchanged vows in 2016. Anna then changed her last name to Gamberzky, and it was in 2019 that she began using Luna, her grandmother’s name, as her last name.

Anna’s husband Andrew’s a recipient of both a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star, while he’s today serving at the MacDill Air Force Base.

Anna hasn’t mentioned other men whom she’s perhaps dated, she’s married to Andrew Gamberzky as of March 2023, and doesn’t have children.

Anna’s dog bit a boy in 2022, and his family’s now suing Anna and her husband.

She’s active on Instagram and is followed by over 15,000 people, while she’s posted nearly 700 pictures and videos onto the social media network, with most of these being related to politics.

Anna’s passionate about travelling, and has been to nearly all of the US states, while she’s also visited more than 20 European and Asian countries, with her dream travel destination being Berlin, Germany.

Summer is Anna’s favorite season, as she likes to sun tan at the beach and swim in the ocean.

Her favorite actresses are Anne Hathaway and Scarlett Johansson, and some of her favorite movies include “Havoc”, “Alice in Wonderland” and “Get Smart”.
