Catherine is an American actress, who’s appeared in such TV series as “Ohara” (1988) and “Midnight Caller” (1989), but is perhaps best known to the world as the wife of American actor Ed O’Neil.

Catherine Rusoff was born in 1954 in Teaneck, New Jersey USA; she’s rather secretive, and has chosen not to reveal the exact date of her birth, however, she’s 67 years old as of early 2022.

The following year, she was Checker in the TV series “Highway to Heaven”, and portrayed Susan in the TV series “Midnight Caller”, while in 1990, Catherine appeared in the TV crime-drama series “The New Adam-12”, the remake of the popular and long-running late 60s-‘70s police drama series of the same name. She ended her career in 1991, but before that, she made a couple more appearances, including in the role of Andrea in the Primetime Emmy Award-nominated drama movie “The Whereabouts of Jenny”, which starred her husband alongside Debrah Farentino and Eve Gordon, and made another appearance in the TV series “Married… with Children”, this time as Betsy.

Edward Leonard O’Neill was born on 12 April 1946, in Youngstown, Ohio USA. Of Irish ancestry, he’s the son of Edward Phillip O’Neill a steel mill worker and truck driver, and Ruth Ann, a homemaker and social worker.

He played football in his youth while attending Ursuline High School, then enrolled at Ohio University on a football scholarship. However, he transferred to Youngstown State University after sophomore year, and again left before the end of his studies to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but was cut out in training camp.

He re-joined Youngstown State University, where he studied acting, and his professional acting career began in 1980, with the role of Det. Schreiber in the film “Cruising”. The same year he featured in the action adventure-drama film “The Dogs of War”, and continued his career with minor roles until 1987, when he was chosen for the role of his career as Al Bundy in the TV comedy series “Married…with Children”.

The show aired for 10 seasons, and turned Ed into a star actor, earning him two Golden Globe Award nominations.

He has now appeared in more than 65 film and TV titles during his career, and in addition to playing Al Bundy, Ed has had several other memorable roles.
