Who is Chris Geere?

Christopher William ‘Chris’ Geere was born in Cambridge, England, on 18 March 1981 – his zodiac sign is Pisces, and he holds British nationality. He’s an actor with close to 50 credits to his name, while he’s perhaps known best for his portrayal of the main character Jimmy Shive-Overly, in the critically acclaimed romantic comedy series “You’re the Worst”. It was created by Stephen Falk, also starred Aya Cash and Desmin Borges, and follows two toxic people who have fallen in love; the series aired from 2014 to 2019, and was nominated for 16 awards.

Early life and education

Chris was raised in Cambridge by his parents about whom nothing’s known, as they prefer to be left out of media; because he hasn’t spoken of having any siblings, Chris is believed to be an only child.

Chris made his debut film appearance with his portrayal of Josh Harman in the 2003 crime thriller drama “Danielle Cable: Eyewitness”, while a couple of his following roles were in the 2003 family comedy drama “Wondrous Oblivion”, the 2007 fantasy horror drama “Blood and Chocolate” and the 2008 short drama “Lawnchairs & Grappling Hooks”.

He attracted attention in 2012, when he played Nick in the action crime drama “Cleanskin”, written and directed by Hadi Hajaig, and which starred Sean Bean, Charlotte Rampling and Abhin Galeya. The movie follows a British secret service agent who has to find and kill a suicide bomber living somewhere in Britain; it was nominated for a single award.

The following year saw Chris play Hesper Navigator in the critically acclaimed action science fiction adventure “After Earth”, which won three of the 11 awards for which it was nominated. He then played supporting characters in the 2014 horror thriller “The Last Showing”, the 2016 thriller “Urge”, and the 2018 romantic musical comedy “The Festival”.

Chris’ most recent film role has been his portrayal of Roger Clifford in the 2019 action adventure comedy “Pokemon Detective Pikachu”, written and directed by Rob Letterman, and which starred Ryan Reynolds, Justice Smith and Kathryn Newton. The movie follows the Pokemon Pikachu, who can talk and wants to be a detective, while other Pokemon are only used for battling between themselves; it was nominated for 10 awards.
