Who is Denim Cole Braxton-Lewis?
Denim was born in Las Vegas, Nevada USA ,on 2 December 2001 – his zodiac sign is Sagittarius, and he holds American nationality. He’s probably only known for being the son of Toni Braxton, a famous American singer-songwriter, actress, pianist, and TV personality.
Early life and education
Denim is being raised in Atlanta, Georgia alongside his younger brother Diezel Ky Braxton-Lewis, by their mother and their father Keri Lewis, a famous American musician; Diezel was born with autism, which is probably why Toni is involved with the autism advocacy organization Autism Speaks. Denim’s parents divorced in July 2013, but are apparently both highly involved in his and his brother’s upbringing.
Denim grew up being interested in music, mostly because he was motivated by his parents, however, because he hasn’t launched a career as a musician, most of his mother’s fans believe that the boy might not be as talented as Toni and Keri. He was physically quite active while attending a local high school, as he played both baseball and football; Denim matriculated in 2019, and although he hasn’t spoken of his further education, it’s believed that he has enrolled at college, from which he should be matriculating in 2023.
Love life and girlfriend
Denim is more or less secretive when it comes to his love life, and has only spoken about a single girl whom he has been with. In August 2018, he started dating the non-celebrity American girl Makaila Teagle, who seems to be a dancer, judging by her Instagram account.
They were together for two years, and both uploaded numerous pictures featuring themselves together onto their Instagram accounts. It’s believed that they broke up in November 2020, because it was around that time that Denim deleted all the pictures which featured Makaila from his Instagram account, while some of her new pictures show her and her new boyfriend spending time together.
There are some who believe that Denim’s today in a relationship with a girl whom he prefers to keep away from the media’s attention, but this remains unconfirmed.
As of December 2021, Denim seems to be single, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.
Hobbies and other interests
Denim is a fashionista, and is trying to keep up with all of the latest fashion trends. He’s also a serious shopaholic, as he goes shopping for clothes nearly every day.
He’s physically active, and has a couple of training sessions at the gym every week, thus his muscular body; this is perhaps why summer is his favorite season, because he enjoys showing off his body at the beach, but also playing beach soccer and volleyball.
He’s a lover of animals, with his favorites being dogs and rabbits.
Denim is into travelling, and his mother’s wealth has made it possible for him to travel to various US states, as well as to a couple of European countries, including England and France.
In the evenings, Denim likes to watch movies starring his favorite actor and actress, Vin Diesel and Scarlett Johansson, such as the franchise “Fast and Furious”, “Jumanji” and “Lost in Translation”.
Age, height and net worth
Denim’s age is 20. He has short black hair and brown eyes, his height is 5ft 10ins (1.8m) and he weighs around 165lbs (75kgs).
As of December 2021, Denim’s net worth has been estimated at over $10,000, while his mother Toni’s net worth is reputedly over $10 million.
Who is his mother Toni Braxton?
Toni Michele Braxton was born in Severn, Maryland USA, on 7 October 1966 – her zodiac sign is Libra, and she holds American nationality. She’s rated one of the best female R&B singers in history, and has won numerous awards, including seven Grammys, seven American Music Awards, and nine Billboard Music Awards.
Toni was raised in Severn alongside her younger brother and four younger sisters, by their mother Evelyn Jackson who was a cosmetologist and an opera singer, and their father Michael Conrad Braxton Sr. who was a Methodist clergyman; all of Toni’s sisters have also become singers.
She became interested in music while attending a local high school, however, Toni dreamed of becoming a teacher at that time. She matriculated in 1984, and then enrolled at Bowie State University, hoping to obtain a teaching degree, however, after she was scouted by William E. Pettaway Jr. at a gas station, Toni dropped out of college and focused on her career as a singer.
In the second half of the ’80s, she and her sisters formed the quintet The Braxtons, and in 1989 signed a contract with Arista Records. Toni was advised by many people to focus on her solo career, and her self-titled debut album was released in July 1993, topping the US Billboard 200 Chart, and reaching top 10 on several other countries’ charts; the album spawned a couple of hit songs, including “Another Sad Love Song” and “Breathe Again”.
Her second album, “Secrets” was released in June 1996, and her single “Un-Break my Heart” won her a Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, while her second single “You’re Makin’ Me High” won her a Grammy for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. Toni’s third album was released in April 2000, entitled “The Heat”, and the following year saw her launch her acting career, with her portrayal of a supporting character in the 2001 comedy movie “Kingdom Come”. Her new album “More Than a Woman” was released in November 2002.
Toni’s seventh album “Pulse” was released on 4 May 2010, and peaked at #9 on the US Billboard 200 Chart.
A biographical movie following her life was released in January 2016, entitled “Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart”, and in January 2018, she played the lead character in the movie “Faith Under Fire”. Toni’s new album “Sex & Cigarettes” came out in March 2018, and most recently, on 28 August 2020, she released her album “Spell My Name”.
Toni revealed in 2008 that she had been diagnosed with microvascular angina, and on 18 November 2010, she revealed that she’s suffering from systemic lupus erythematosus, an autoimmune disease which took her uncle’s life.
In May 2016, Toni began dating the American rapper Bryan Christopher ‘Birdman’ Williams, and they became engaged in February 2018, but then called it off in January 2019, although the two are apparently still in a relationship today.
Who is Denim’s father Keri Lewis?
Keriston Jamal ‘Keri’ Lewis was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota USA, on 12 February 1971 – his zodiac sign is Aquarius, and he holds American nationality. He’s known for two things: for being a former member of the R&B band Mint Condition, and for being the former husband of Toni Braxton.
Keri was raised in Minneapolis by his parents, about whom nothing’s known as he respects their privacy; it’s said that his father was also a musician, and that his mother was a housewife. He hasn’t mentioned having any siblings, so most of his fans believe him to be an only child.
Keri became interested in music while attending Central High School in Saint Paul, and upon matriculating in 1989, he chose to focus on his career as a musician, rather than to pursue a college degree.
The band Mint Condition was formed in either 1980 or 1981, and initially comprised the lead singer and drummer Stokley Williams, the keyboardist Larry Waddell, and the guitarist Homer O’Dell. They were soon joined by three other people, including Keri as their rhythm guitarist and keyboardist, but the boys gained recognition only in June 1991, when their debut album “Meant to be Mint” was released under Perspective Records. Their single “Breakin’ My Heart (Pretty Brown Eyes)” became a minor hit, finding its way onto several US charts; in 1993, the boys released their second album “From The Mint Factory”, which had spawned another hit “U Send Me Swingin”; it reached second place on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart.
They went on to release two more albums: “Definition of a Band” in September 1996, and “Life’s Aquarium” in 1999, both of which were highly successful. They then went on a six-year hiatus, but upon resurfacing Keri quit the band to focus on his solo career, including producing music for numerous popular artists, including his former wife Toni.
He produced music for the 2016 documentary movie “Word Warriors III”.
Keri has been staying away from the media’s attention since his divorce from Toni, but it’s believed that he’s today in a relationship with a non-celebrity American woman.
