Who is Leo Suter?

British actor Leo Suter was born in London, England. on 26 September 1993, making Libra his zodiac sign. He’s had roles in 17 movies and TV series, and is probably known best for portraying the main character, Harald Sigurdsson in the critically acclaimed action adventure series “Vikings: Valhalla”, created by Jeb Stuart, and which also stars Sam Corlett and Frida Gustavsson. It’s a sequel to the popular series “Vikings”, and follows the lives of Norman King William the Conqueror, Harald Hardrada and Leif Erikson; the series has been airing since 2022, and has won two of its 12 award nominations.

Education and early life

Leo was raised alongside his siblings Nina and Gregory, by their mother Dame Helen Alexander and father Tim Suter; not a lot has been disclosed about Leo’s parents, because they prefer to maintain their privacy.

He became interested in acting while attending the independent preparatory school for boys Colet Court, appearing in a couple of plays performed there; Leo progressed to St Paul’s School in 2008 and continued acting there, matriculating in 2012. He made his debut film appearance in the same year, playing Will in the short drama “In Passing, I Am”, and also his debut TV series appearance, portraying Posh Pupil in the episode “Football Match” of the comedy “Bad Education”.

It follows a fairy who cursed an infant princess, and has befriended her now that she’s grown up; the movie won 12 of its 59 award nominations, including an Oscar nomination for Best Achievement in Costume Design.

Leo’s following two roles were in the 2015 short fantasy “Wight” and the 2016 romantic fantasy “Fallen”.

In 2018, he starred in the short comedy “Laughing Branches”, written and directed by Missy Malek, and which also starred Tom Hanson; the film follows two actors as they’re thinking about alternate futures, and it won six of its eight award nominations.

Leo played Simon Holman in the 2017 episode “The Castle” of the crime thriller “Ransom”, and the same year saw him portray Drummond in eight episodes of the popular biographical historical drama “Victoria”, created by Daisy Goodwin, and which starred Jenna Colman, Adrian Schiller and Tommy Knight. It follows the life of Queen Victoria, the series aired from 2016 through 2019, and won 11 of its 31 award nominations.

In 2018, Leo played Jack in six episodes of the popular thriller “Clique”, which Jess Brittain created, and which starred Sophia Brown, Synnove Karlsen and Rachel Hurd-Wood. It follows Georgia who’s joined a group of ‘alpha girls’ at her college, and has learned the dark secrets concerning the group. Leo could then have been seen appearing in six episodes of the 2019 drama “Beecham House”, six episodes of the 2019 romantic drama “Sanditon” and a 2020 episode of the comedy “Intelligence”.

Most recently, in 2020, he played Captain Bill Lauder in the episode “The Enemy” of the action mini-series “The Liberator”, which starred Bradley James, Martin Sensmeier and Jose Miguel Vasquez, and tells the story of one of the bloodiest World War II battles in Europe.

Roles in theatre plays

Leo’s appeared in only a couple of theatre plays. He portrayed Patsy in the Oxford Playhouse’s production of “The Winterling”, and then Subtle in the Arcola Theatre’s “The Alchemist”. He also played Mercutio in “Romeo and Juliet”, performed at Southwark Playhouse.

Many of Leo’s fans believe him to be gay for two reasons: the first being the fact that Leo hasn’t spoken of any girls whom he’s maybe dated, nor has he been seen spending time in public with any, and the second his portrayal of a gay character in the series “Victoria”.

Leo’s yet to address the rumors concerning his sexuality, but a fan believes that she saw Leo spending time with his boyfriend in Los Angeles, California in January 2023, however, no evidence has been provided to support her claims.
