Molly became interested in sports and journalism while still attending a local elementary school, mostly because her father used to watch sports shows on TV nearly every night, as well as various news channels. She studied at a local high school, and during her four years there was interested in various activities, including playing soccer and volleyball, dancing on the cheerleaders’ team, and writing articles for the school newspaper.

Upon matriculating in 2007, Molly enrolled at Boston College, and during her four years there interviewed coaches and athletes for the college’s website – BCEagles.com; she was the cheerleading captain too. Molly’s initial career

Molly launched her career straight out of college, when she was hired to work for ESPN as a production assistant, mostly in charge of producing highlights and logging play-by-plays.

After only a couple of months, she quit ESPN and started working for the American professional basketball team the Bolton Celtics, as their web reporter and in-arena host. She spent two years with them, and was in charge of hosting and producing daily updates, interviewing athletes, and also hosting their show “Celtics Now”, which aired on Comcast SportsNet New England (CSNNE); Molly was also CSNNE’s sideline reporter.

She was contacted by a Fox Sports executive in 2013, after he’d found videos of her work on YouTube. He sent Molly a message on Facebook, explaining that there was a job opening at Fox Sports, if she wanted to have an interview with them; she was hired in the summer of the same year, and started working for Fox Sports 1, which required her to move to Los Angeles in California. Molly initially worked as their update anchor, but her skills helped her promotion to the position of an anchor and co-host of “America’s Pregame”, the channel’s daily sports highlight show. She asked for even more work, and became the lead sideline reporter for both Fox College Basketball and Fox College Football, while also covering football games for Fox NFL.

Returning to ESPN

It was in July 2016 that Molly started working for ESPN again, this time co-hosting their show “College Football Live”, and serving as their college sports sideline reporter.
