Who is Nicolette Scorsese?

American former actress Nicolette Scorsese, was born in Los Angeles, California USA on 6 January 1954, making Capricorn her zodiac sign. She appeared in 14 movies and TV series prior to retiring in 2000, and is perhaps still known best for playing Mary in the critically acclaimed 1989 comedy movie “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation”, which Jeremiah S. Chechik directed, and which starred Juliette Lewis, Beverly D’Angelo and Chevy Chase; it follows the Griswold family as they’re spending Christmas together.

Unlike what’s widely believed to be true, Nicolette’s not related to American movie director Martin Scorsese.

Education and early life

Nicolette was raised in Los Angeles by her mother and father, about whom she hasn’t spoken in public because she respects their privacy; it’s believed that her father was a businessman, and her mother a college professor. Nicolette hasn’t mentioned having any siblings, and is thus believed to have none.

She studied at a local high school in Los Angeles, and was mostly focused on her education while growing up; she became interested in singing and dancing during her teenage years, but her interest in acting wasn’t born until years later.

Nicolette’s debut TV series role was playing Cindy in two episodes (1985) of the action crime adventure “The A-Team”, created by Frank Lupo and Stephen J. Cannell, and which starred George Peppard, Mr. T and Dwight Schultz. It follows four Vietnam veterans who’ve been accused of a crime they haven’t committed, the series aired from 1983 through 1987, and won three of its 11 award nominations.

In 1987, Nicolette played Louise in the episode “American Teen” of the family comedy “Charles in Charge”, which Barbara Weisberg and Michael Jacobs created, and which starred Nicole Eggert, Willie Aames and Scott Baio. It follows the lives of college students Charles and Buddy, the series aired from 1984 through 1990 and won two of its 15 award nominations.

The year 1994 saw Nicolette appear in the episode “Cold Cuts” of the drama “L. A. Law”, and the episode “Girls in Prison” of the drama “Rebel Highway”.

She appeared in only two further TV series prior to retiring: Nicolette portrayed Pamela in the 1995 episode “The Birthday Party” of the romantic drama “ER”, and the year 2000 saw her play Busty Barmaid in the episode “Little Abner” of the crime mystery “NYPD Blue”, which David Milch and Steven Bochco created, and which starred Dennis Franz, Jimmy Smits and Gordon Clapp. It follows a group of detectives solving crimes in New York City, the series aired from 1993 through 2005 and won 108 of its 311 award nominations.

Roles in movies

Nicolette’s debut film role was playing Melissa Cody in the 1988 horror thriller “Perfect Victims”, written and directed by Shuki Levy, and which starred Deborah Shelton, Lyman Ward and Tom Dugan. It follows a psycho who’s contracted AIDS, and has now become a serial killer, stalking and killing beautiful girls.

The year 1993 saw Nicolette appear in three movies: the romantic sports drama “Aspen Extreme”, the romantic mystery “Boxing Helena”, and the short comedy “The Waiter”.

In 1994, Nicolette played Suzy in the crime thriller “Girls in Prison”, directed by John McNaughton, and which starred Diane McGee, Harvey Chao and Bahni Turpin. It follows singer Aggie O’Hanlon who’s been sentenced to life behind bars for a crime she didn’t commit.

In 1996, Nicolette portrayed Eileen in the drama “The Ultimate Lie”, and her only other film role was playing Excelsior in the 1998 short action “Lone Greasers”, written and directed by Torus Tammer, and which starred John Doe, Peter Dobson and Richard Chaves; it follows a criminal as he’s robbing a nightclub.

Nicolette appeared in a 2019 episode of the talk-show “Entertainment Tonight”, after having spent 19 years away from the media’s attention.

Life after acting

Nicolette disappeared from the media’s attention in 2000, and although some of her fans believe that she married a non-celebrity American man and chose to focus on family life, this hasn’t been confirmed.

Nicolette dated several men while she was still active in the film industry, with the first amongst these having been American musician and music producer John Benitez; the two were together for a couple of months in 1988.

In 1989, Nicolette dated famous American actor Antonio Sabato Jr, and the following year saw her date famous American actor Sean Penn, who won two Oscars for his performance in the 2003 crime mystery movie “Mystic River”, and the 2008 biographical historical film “Milk”.

Nicolette hasn’t mentioned any men whom she’s since been with, but some of her fans believe that she’s today a married woman; this hasn’t been confirmed.
