Early life, family and education
Scarlett was born into the Mexican family of Samantha and Anthony Estevez. She has an older sister named Eloise, and a younger brother named Ben. She is a niece of the actress Liza Weil, who encouraged Scarlett’s parents to audition her for roles in movies and TV series.
Scarlett started her acting career at an early age, appearing in her first TV commercial at the age of three, and has since appeared in more than 25 national commercials for brands such as Kentucky Fried Chicken, Toyota and Home Depot.
She is currently attending a local high school, and is reportedly a very good student, despite her acting obligations.

Scarlett made her TV series debut in 2013 at the age of six, in the pilot episode of the sitcom “Redeeming Dave”, which unfortunately wasn’t picked up by a network. Two years later, Scarlett landed the voice-over role of Esme Louise, in the animated adventure series “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie”, based on the eponymous children’s book written by Laura Numeroff and illustrated by Felicia Bond.
From 2016 to 2021, Scarlett had a role in the popular supernatural crime drama “Lucifer”, created by Tom Kapinos, and which starred Tom Ellis, Lauren German and Kevin Alejandro. The series revolves around Lucifer, the DC Comics version of the Devil, who left Hell and settled in Los Angeles, where he lives his life as a nightclub owner and a Los Angeles Police Department consultant. In the series, Scarlett plays the character Trixie Espinoza, a seemingly sweet and innocent girl, who unknowingly befriends the Devil. “Lucifer” has attracted a wide audience despite sparking controversy among a part of TV viewers due to its theme, and has been nominated for several awards, including one Primetime Emmy.
In 2019, Scarlett joined the main cast of the Disney Channel kids sitcom “Bunk’d”, centered on a group of kids spending their summers at Camp Kikwaka, in rural Maine, which has a notorious reputation of staying open despite violating numerous safety regulations. In the series, Scarlett plays the role of Gwen Flores, a shy girl who was previously homeschooled by her parents. “Bunk’d” is currently one of the most popular Disney Channel series, and the sixth season of the show is expected to air in autumn 2022.
Scarlett has also made short appearances in other TV series, such as “Raven’s Home” and “Craig of the Creek”.

Scarlett made her movie debut in the award-winning 2013 short family adventure “The Magic Bracelet”, directed by Jon Poll, and which also starred Kaitlin Doubleday and Shawn Wayne Klush. In the same year, she played one of the leads, in the TV drama “And Then There Was You”.
In 2015, Scarlett starred alongside Garrett Ryan and Adam Hochstetter in the Nickelodeon short comedy “The Massively Mixed-Up Middle School Mystery”, about a group of students who have to put their detective skills to the test, after the principal of their school lost his job due to a prank which went wrong.
In the same year, she played the role of Megan, in the family comedy “Daddy’s Home”, directed by Sean Andres, and which starred Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg as a step-father and father fighting over the attention of their children. Scarlett reprised her role in the film’s 2017 sequel “Daddy’s Home 2”, which shows the former rivals co-parenting the kids. Another sequel has been in the wind for a while, and Wahlberg has expressed a desire to get Liam Neeson to star in the third installment of the franchise, although the movie hasn’t been announced yet.
In 2018, Scarlett worked on another Hollywood blockbuster, lending her voice to Izzy in the animated Christmas movie “The Grinch”, based on the novel “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”, by Dr. Seuss.
