Who is Ella Anderson?

Ella started acting at the age of five, and once when her mother took her to Los Angeles, California, just to visit, Ella went to an audition for “Henry Danger”; eventually the whole family moved from Ypsilanti to Los Angeles.
That brought some changes in their lives; Ella left a middle school in her hometown, and continued her education taking lessons from her studio teacher while she was on set; she is now a high school student.

Ella made her first television series appearance in 2012, when she was cast to play Hazel in two episodes of the Disney series “A. N. T. Farm”, which brought her a nomination for the Young Artist Award Best Performance in a TV series-Guest Starring Young Actress Ten and Under, followed by guest roles as Annie in “Raising Hope”, and as Darcy Stewart in “Dog with a Blog”. In 2014, she portrayed Piper Hart in the “Henry Danger”, an action comedy drama about a 13-year-old boy, Henry Hart, whose life changes when superhero Captain Man chooses him to be his apprentice; the series broadcast for five seasons and 121 episodes over six years.
Concurrently, Ella made an appearance in the series “Young Sheldon” as Erica, and also as a voice actor she was heard in the animated series’ “The Adventures of Kid Danger” and “Henry Danger Motion Comic”.
Her most recent role on television was in 2020, as Paige Barey in the series “Borrasca”, a thriller drama starring Mark Derwin, Cole Sprouse and Beau Knapp.

Ella made her acting debut in the 2011 movie “Last Man standing”, cast to play Haley in this action thriller drama alongside Anthony Michael Hall, Catherine Bell and Mekhi Phifer, followed by roles as Jamie in “Touchback” and as Daughter in “The Giant Mechanical Man”.
In the following years she made appearances in the TV movies such as “Family Justice”, “Bukowski”, “The Dumb Show”, “Adopted”, and “The Possession of Michael King”, before she was cast to play Rachel in “The Boss” starring alongside Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Bell in this comedy drama which had three award nominations.
Ella next portrayed Vicky in the 2016 movie “Mother’s Day”, starring Jenifer Anniston, Julia Roberts and Kate Hudson, followed by her role as Young Jeannette in “The Glass Castle”, a biographic drama based on the novel of the same title written by Jeannette Walls.
Ella’s most recent role is as Kristen in the 2021 movie “James the Second”, which is a drama about a teenage boy who suffers from a rare disorder, Alexithymia, which prevents him feeling emotions.

Ella prefers to keep her private life a secret, however, there were some rumors that she had a crush on a fellow actor from “Henry Danger”, but she hasn’t spoken about these assumptions.

Besides acting, Ella has interests in singing, and has released three singles – “Rain”, “Overanalyze” and “Alone”; the official music videos for these songs can be seen on her eponymous YouTube channel.
