Who is Jason Weaver?

Jason Michael Weaver – aka J-Weav – was born in Chicago, Illinois USA, on 18 July 1979 – his zodiac sign is Cancer, and he holds American nationality. He’s an actor and singer, who’s appeared in close to 50 movies and TV series, while he’s possibly still known best for his voicing of Young Simba in the 1994 animated adventure movie “The Lion King”. It was directed by Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff, starred Matthew Broderick, Jeremy Irons and James Earl Jones, and follows the lion Simba and his king father, while Simba’s uncle wants to take over his father’s throne; the movie won 41 awards, including two Oscars for Best Music, Original Song, while it was nominated for 35 other awards.

Early life, family and education

Jason was raised in Chicago by his father Robert Lincoln Weaver, and his mother Marilyn ‘Kitty’ Haywood who was a member of the vocal group Kitty & the Haywoods; because Jason hasn’t spoken of having any siblings, most people believe him to be an only child.

He became interested in singing at a very early age, mostly because he looked up to his mother, while Jason was also interested in acting, and appeared in numerous plays performed at his elementary school. He was 11 years old when he made his debut TV series appearance, with his portrayal of Matthew Thomas in five episodes of the 1990 drama “Brewster Place”. The same year saw him appear in two movies: the historical drama “The Long Walk Home” and the drama “The Kid Who Loved Christmas”.
