Jessica Starshine Osbourne is a British actress, director and producer. She’s popular for her performances in the series “Better call Saul”, “Manhattan”, and “The Messengers”, although she is probably better known for being the eldest daughter of singer, songwriter and TV personality Ozzy Osbourne. She was married to Ben Hobbs, with whom she has three children.
Early life, family, educational background
Jessica was born on 20 January 1972, in Grimsby, England, UK to Ozzy and his wife Thelma Riley. She has five siblings, although the only one with whom she shares both parents is Louis Osbourne.

The other four are Elliot Kingsley, born from a previous relationship of Jessica´s mother, and Aimee Osbourne, Kelly Osbourne and Jack Osbourne, born from her father´s marriage with Sharon Osbourne (nee Levy), after Jessica’s parents’ divorce.
She attended school in England, where she completed her studies and graduated, though there is no information related to the school or college she went to.
From a very early age, she knew that she wanted to be an actress, so thereafter took classes at “Italia Conti Academy of Theatre and Art”, in London, England.
Jessica´s parents married in 1971, and divorced in 1982; Aacording to Jessica´s mother, the reason for the divorce was Ozzy´s addiction to alcohol. However, Ozzy´s version is different, stating that his marriage was a “terrible mistake”.
After their divorce, Jessica and her siblings continued living with their mother.
According to Jessica and her brother Louis, Ozzy wasn’t a good father, proof of this is perhaps that Ozzy himself recognized that he didn’t remember their birth dates.
Career
Jessica started her career as an actress in 2004; her first performances were in some short films through 2007, including “Yellowville”, “Anyone Who´s Anyone”, “Phone Friends”, “Immersion”, and “Between”. Her most important role was in 2009, when she played Pompous Zombie in “Romeo and Juliet vs. the living dead”.
Then, in 2011 she made an appearance in the TV movie “Sin temer a la noche” personifying Giselle Dubois, and in “Horrorween” as neighbor.
She went on with her acting career, participating in “The Man App”, “The Amateur”, and “Trekking for God” in 2012 and 2013.
Finally in 2015, she was Lucianne in the series “Better Call Saul”, in which also starred Rhea Sheeron and Kerry Condon, in “Manhattan” as Constance, and in “The Messengers” playing the role of ER nurse 2.
Apart from her works as an actress, Jessica directed the TV documentary movie “British Andy”, and the short film “Trekking for God”, and was assistant director of some TV movies and short films, such as “The End”, “Model Citizen”, and “One Small Indiscretion”.
In 2019, she was production assistant of eight episodes of the series “The Unsettling”, as well as production accountant for “The Au Pair Nightmare” and payroll accountant for “Running with the Devil”.
Finally, in 2021 she worked as a production accountant for the film “The Manson Brothers Midnight Zombie Massacre”.
Personal life, ex-husband Ben Hobbs
Jessica was married to Ben Hobbs, and they have three children together: Isabelle, Kitty and Harry. In spite of being a public personality, she managed to keep her wedding and divorce dates a secret, as well as the reasons of her divorce.
The fact that she was born into such a famous family has not prevented Jessica from staying low-key. She has never revealed much about her private life in the media, and it’s unknown whether or not she started a new relationship after her divorce.
Ozzy Osbourne
Jessica´s father, John Michael “Ozzy” Osbourne was born in the UK in 1948.
He started his career as the lead vocalist of “Black Sabbath”, a heavy metal band and became famous almost immediately, being known as the “Prince of Darkness”, however, his problems with alcohol and drugs saw him fired from the band in 1979. Anyway, his career wasn´t affected by this event; on the contrary, he continued growing as a solo singer and through his incredibly successful and long-lasting career, he became known as the “Godfather of Metal”.
His personal life wasn’t as brilliant as his professional life; he wasn’t an ideal father to his children, especially to Jessica and Louis, with whom he had a distant relationship.
A clear example of this is an event that occurred in an episode of the reality show “The Osbournes” – Jessica didn’t take part in this show, but there was a comment about her in the episode “Smells Like Teen Spirit” that caused a great impact among the audience; that Jessica had given birth to a baby girl. This is something that apparently shouldn’t cause such a big shock in the context of a reality show, however, what is extraordinary is that it shows the lack of communication between Jessica and her father, as this was the way in which Ozzy came to know that he’d became a grandfather. In fact, Jessica does not get on well with both her father and his wife Sharon, as well as with their three children.
Apart of his addictions, Ozzy suffers from Parkinson disease. In 2019 he had to be hospitalized, and couldn’t tour around North America because of this.

In her free time, Jessica likes watching movies. Her favorites are “Runaway Bride”, “Harry Potter” and “One day”, while Julia Roberts, Johnny Deep and Anne Hathaway are some of her favorite actors.
She also loves travelling, especially around Europe, visiting art galleries and museums, and tasting foods from different countries.
Another interesting fact about her life is that she’s an animal lover, and when she was a teenager she worked as a volunteer in places that gave shelter to abandoned animals.
