Childhood, early career
Not much is known about LeeAnn Kreischer’s childhood and early career. She was born under the sign of Virgo on 19 August 1971, in Bowdon, Georgia USA. There is no information in regards to her parents and siblings, or education either. It’s widely believed that she matriculated from high school in 1989 and graduated from university in 1993 with a Bachelor’s Degree. Between 1993 and the early 2000s, she flirted with various career ideas, all centered on artistic endeavors, including becoming a painter, a writer, and an actor.
To turn these dreams into fruition, she moved to Los Angeles, California, in 2000, and debuted in the 25-minute movie entitled “Destiny Stalled”, playing the role of a nurse.
In 2002, she was selected by directors Michael Criscione and Michael Meyer to play a minor role in the movie “The Biggest Fan” – due to many legal conflicts and copyright issues, the release was postponed until 2005, and during this period, LeeAnn tried to make it as a writer, while sharing her room and living expenses with a friend.
Since 2018, LeeAnn Kreischer has been hosting a podcast entitled “Wife on the Top” on major streaming services, and has developed a large following. The title is actually inspired by her husband’s career, with her website describing it in the following way:
‘Wife of comedian Bert Kreischer; talks to friends in the man-cave about marriage, family and what it’s like to be married to the life of the party.’
Every Thursday she invites a guest to discuss various topics such as ecology, global warming, psychology, arts, books, animals, and most importantly – personal training. While she hasn’t taken up any challenge to lose weight and has declared several times in her podcast that she feels comfortable with ‘who she is’, LeeAnn has been a massive supporter and motivator of her husband’s journey to fitness and health improvement. In fact she’s inspired many listeners, including her husband, to adopt low-carb diets similar to Keto.
During her livestreams, LeeAnn has also touched on sensitive socio- political topics, such as the MeToo movement and various scandals including Aziz Ansari’s sexual misconduct allegations.
As of 2022, her podcast holds a 4.9 rating on iTunes, with more than 1,400 reviewers, and her YouTube page currently has almost 35,000 followers. Latest video titles include “What is investing? Advice from a business manager”, “Eating Disorders with Paulina Pinsky” and “I got investigated for hazing in my sorority”. She frequently engages her listeners with Q&A, while hosting a monthly online “Book Club”. As of February 2022, her podcast has reached 209 episodes.
Personal life, marriage, children
LeeAnn Kreischer married her husband, stand-up comedian Bert Kreischer, in December 2003, at the age of 32. They first met accidentally sometime in 2001, when LeeAnn had just turned 30. She was heartbroken because of a romantic break-up, while struggling financially and sharing a room with a female friend, with whom she was writing her first novel, which would serve as a breakthrough for a career in literature. Bert and a fellow of his were acquainted with LeeAnn’s friend, and they stopped by for a casual visit. LeeAnn wasn’t impressed, and although in several early interviews she denied recalling this first encounter, she later revealed that she thought he was obnoxious, arrogant, rude, and rushed.
Later on, when she learned about his past adventurous and romantic exploits as an undergraduate, she felt that this first impression was spot on.
They met accidentally for a second time while training in the same Yoga gym in Hollywood, but nothing came out of this encounter either.
The third time was slightly different, both in context and results. Sometime in 2002, LeeAnn’s writer friend organized a bowling party, to which she invited both of them as part of a larger group. At this time LeeAnn had overcome her heartbreak, and was open to new encounters and dating. The competing bowling groups were divided between singles and those in a relationship – LeeAnn and Bert formed a two-person team as part of the singles group, and won the competition.
During the entire time, she got to know Bert for who he really was, and liked him. The two finally clicked, and they married one year later.
The couple has two daughters: Georgia, born in 2004, and Ila in 2006.
LeeAnn has several hobbies -she loves gardening as much as she likes talking about ecology on her podcast. She also loves animals, and the family has a dog. Furthermore, she’s a philanthropist and does fundraising for several causes, mostly centered around the well-being of children.

Bert Kreischer was born under the Zodiac sign of Scorpio on 3 November 1972, in St. Petersburg, Florida USA – his family moved to Tampa soon after his birth. His father worked in real estate, while his mother was a social worker.
Bert matriculated from high school in 1990, and in 1991 enrolled at Florida State University, graduating with a degree in English Language in 1997, a full six and a half years after enrolling, partly explained as at the time, Florida State University was considered as one of the top universities for partying and partygoers. In a very famous 1997 article by Rolling Stone magazine entitled “Bert Kreischer: The Undergraduate”, the article illustrates how a young Bert Kreischer failed for several years to earn his degree due to his wild antics, partying and campus drinking. This made him instantly famous, so much so that director Oliver Stone wanted to buy the rights to retell Bert’s story in movie format.
When the deal fell through, the satirical magazine National Lampoon used a similar script, changed Bert’s name to Van Wilder, and commissioned a movie based on what they have admitted to being based on his life, entitled “National Lampoon’s Van Wilder”.
