Tanya Haden Black is an American-born singer, cellist, and visual artist, famously known to be the wife of the American actor, Jack Black. She is also famous for being one of the triplet daughters of the legendary jazz bassist Charlie Haden.

Career as a Cellist, Musician, and Visual Artist
Tanya grew up very passionate about music, and has been a member of various music bands including the American indie band Let’s Go Sailing, which released their first album in 2006. As of now, she travels across Los Angeles, California, performing with the Silversun Pickups band, and boasts of having played cello in their extended play “Pikul.” She also contributed to Sea Wolf band’s 2005 album “The Warlocks” as the cellist.
Haden told The San Diego Union-Tribune that she has been singing with her sisters since she was a child, saying that, ‘We’ll just start singing a song and we’ll naturally fall into certain harmonies…when we were little, we would spend the night at our grandparents’ house on our mom’s side, which was really fun for us, because we’d share a room and sing in harmony before we went to bed.’ Tanya founded The Haden Triplets together with her two sisters – their first album by the famous record producer and musician Ry Cooder was released by their father’s Third Man Records independent record label, in February 2014. As a visual artist, Hayden has worked on several projects including 2010’s TV show “Las Cienegas Projects.” She was also contracted to hold an exhibition, at the Rosamund Felsen Gallery in Los Angeles.

She boasts of voicing Smitten Bunny in the Oscar-award winning animated film series “Kung Fu Panda” (2008), which was directed by John Stevenson and Mark Osborne, and stars Angelina Jolie, Jack Black and Ian McShane, and follows the story of an obese clumsy panda, who is mistaken for being The Dragon Warrior. 2011 saw Tanya lending her voice to Muppet in the family movie “The Muppets” – the animated film was critically acclaimed and won many awards.
