Rebecca’s career was moving in the right direction in the second half of the 2000s, and in 2008 she was selected for the role of Dr. Charlotte Lewis in the TV fantasy adventure-drama series “Lost”. She joined the main cast in its fourth season, and was one of the main characters through season five and guest-starred in two episodes in the show’s ultimate six season.
She was praised for her performance in the Primetime Emmy Award-winning series, and she received the Gold Derby TV Award in the category for Ensemble of the Year, alongside other stars. She later remarked that ‘dying on “Lost”’ was the best thing she did in her career.
