A New York City native, Betty began her acting career while she was still studying at Fordham University under the well-known actress Diane West. In 2008, she appeared in an episode of the police/procedural series “Law and Order: Criminal Intent”.
Building her profile in her chosen field, for the first few years of her career through to 2012, Betty landed several minor roles in movies such as “Death in Love”, “Ghost Town”, and “Beach Pillows” in 2008 and 2009, then mainly bounced between one-episode TV and movie roles – she guest-starred in a number of series such as “Medium”, “The Unusual”, and “New Amsterdam”. In 2013 she landed the recurring role as Carrie Roman in the medical/comedy series “Nurse Jackie”, appearing in 34 episodes through 2015.
