Who is Heidi Balvanera?
Heidi Elena Balvanera de Uriarte was born in Mexico, on 5 September 1978 – her zodiac sign is Virgo, and she holds Mexican nationality. She’s an actress and a model, but who’s probably known best for being the wife of Jaime Camil, a famous Mexican actor and singer.
Early life and education
Heidi was raised in Mexico by her mother Maria Elena de Uriarte, and father Reynaldo Balvanera Nunes; nothing is known about her parents, because Heidi respects their privacy, but it’s believed that her father was a construction worker, and that her mother was a housewife. Heidi hasn’t spoken of having any siblings, and is thus believed to be an only child.
She grew up being interested in numerous activities, and played sports with her male friends, learned various languages, and practiced acting with her elementary school’s drama club.
She continued acting while attending a local high school, and also started cooking with her mother, and practicing creative writing. Heidi matriculated in 1996, and then enrolled at the University of Mexico, from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2000.
Heidi has just three acting credits. She played Doncella Mendoza 2 in the 2010 romantic comedy film “Regresa”, written and directed by Alejandro Gonzalez Padilla, and which starred her husband Jaime, Blanca Soto and Javier Tolosa. The movie follows a woman who has turned to a therapist because of marital problems, and now that she has awoken from his hypnosis, she believes that she’s a Basque princess.
Heidi played Sasha in three episodes of the 2010 romantic drama series “Teresa”, which starred Sebastian Rulli, Aaron Diaz and Angelique Boyer, and follows the life of the beautiful and greedy young woman Teresa.
In 2016, she appeared in the episode “Chapter Fifty-One” of the critically acclaimed comedy series “Jane the Virgin”, created by Jennie Snyder Urman, and which starred Gina Rodriguez, Andrea Navado and Yael Grobglas. It follows a young Catholic woman who has learned that she’s been artificially inseminated by mistake, the series aired from 2014 to 2019, and won 21 of the 98 awards for which it was nominated, including two Primetime Emmy nominations.
Heidi received special thanks for the 2013 short romantic film “Zero Hour”, and in 2020, she made a guest appearance in an episode of the talk-show “The Endless Honeymoon Podcast”.

Who is Jaime Camil?
Jaime Federico Said Camil Saldana de Gama was born in Mexico City, on 22 July 1973 – his zodiac sign is Cancer, and he holds Mexican nationality. He has appeared in more than 50 movies and TV series, and is perhaps still known best for his portrayal of the supporting character Eufemio Zapata, in the 2004 biographical fantasy movie “Zapata – El Sueno del Heroe”. It was written and directed by Alfonso Arau, starred Alejandro Fernandez, Lucero and Patricia Velasquez, and follows the life of Emiliano Zapata, the hero of the Mexican Revolution.
Jaime was raised in Mexico City alongside his three step-siblings and two half-siblings, by his Mexican father Jaime Camil Garza who was a businessman, and his Brazilian mother Cecilia Saldanha de Gama who was a singer. Jaime became interested in acting while still attending a local high school, and upon matriculating in 1991, he enrolled at the Universidad Anahuac, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1995; he then studied acting at colleges in Los Angeles, California and Mexico City. Jaime also studied opera in Italy.
He became a radio commentator in 1993, and didn’t release his first music album until 1999, entitled “Para Estar Contigo”; it took him touring around the US and Mexico, then in 2002, Jaime released his second album – “Una Vez Mas”, which spawned two hit songs – “Muriendo” and “Dime”.
