They met on the set of the Disney Channel original movie “Geek Charming”, and in the following four years the two could’ve been seen attending most of their red carpet events together.

Sarah and Matt seemed to be happy together, however, in August 2014, Sarah broke up from Matt, and filed for a temporary restraining order against him, claiming that he was both verbally and physically abusive towards her during the entirety of their relationship; she also claimed that he had choked her, and threatened to burn down the house, kidnap her dog, and commit suicide.

Even though she was looking for a temporary restraining order, the court granted her a permanent restraining order in October 2014; it was this that caused Matt’s retirement from acting, and it’s widely believed that no-one in the film industry then wanted to work with him.

He hasn’t mentioned any other girls whom he has perhaps been with, and as of September 2021, Matt seems to be single, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.

Hobbies and other interests

Matt’s quite active on Instagram, as he seems to be enjoying the attention he’s receiving from his close to 65,000 followers; he’s uploaded close to 400 pictures, the majority of which have been taken during his everyday life.

He’s physically quite active, and has a couple of training sessions at the gym each week, thus his muscular body.

Matt enjoys spending his spare time in nature, and his Instagram account is filled with pictures taken at various natural locations.

He has his own favorite actors and actresses, some of whom are Johnny Depp, the late Marlon Brando, and Natalie Portman; a couple of his favorite movies are the franchise “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “Apocalypse Now” and “V for Vendetta”.

He loves to listen to music in his spare time, and his favorite performer is Ed Sheeran; Matt has even bought himself a Funko Pop toy of Ed.
