An actress with nearly 20 acting credits to her name, however, Sabrina Bartlett is perhaps known best for her role as Siena Rosso, an opera singer in the historic drama series “Bridgerton”. Sabrina left the show after the first season, and was seen in just five episodes. Fans of the series wanted to know what happened since it seemed that Sienna is an important character in the show.
If you are one of those interested in the career and life of this young actress, let us tell you the naked truth about Sabrina.
Early life, family, and education
Born Sabrina Lois Bartlett under the zodiac sign of Virgo on 12 September 1991, she’s aged 31 as of March 2023. Sabrina hails from Hammersmith, London, United Kingdom, and holds British nationality, although she comes from a family of part-Italian and English descent.
Raised by her parents, Sharon and Stephen, alongside her two sisters and one brother, Sabrina had an interest in arts and performing from an early age; both of her parents are artists, thus it isn’t surprising that she inherited their love for art. Sabrina danced ballet for years before launching her acting career.
Speaking of her educational background, she attended Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, and upon matriculating in 2009, enrolled at the Guildford School of Acting, from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Art (Drama), in 2013.
Roles in series
Sabrina made her acting debut as Hannah Stevenson in an episode of the series “Suspects” in 2014. Later that year, she was seen guest-starring as Gabriela Mendoza in “Holby City”. She followed with her role as Star in the series “Wireless”, making an appearance in one episode.
Sabrina was next cast to play Quayle’s Ward in “Doctor Who”, followed by her first notable role as Katie in the 2014 TV mini-series “The Passing Bells”. This war drama, starring Patrick Gibson, Jack Lowden and Hubert Burton, followed the story of the First World War seen through the eyes of two young soldiers. Although the show had no nominations, it was well-accepted and rated by the audience at 6.8/10.
In the following year, Sabrina was seen as Tina Tyler in the long-running series “Midsomer Murders”, and followed with her role as Keren Smith in three episodes of “Poldark”, a romantic drama series that won the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Award.
"With her dark hair and a totally unexpected cloudy-green gaze, Sabrina Bartlett carries all the features of a rising star. Nothing looks obvious in the beauty of her face, and yet, it is obvious why she has been chosen to play the role of a strong young girl in award winning short movie “The Crossing” (Nathalie Biancheri, 2014). Sabrina trained as a dancer before discovering her passion for acting and graduating from the Guildhall School of Acting a little less than 2 years ago. Her ethereal beauty and extraordinary talent are a dead giveaway-no surprise she was cast as a devilish gypsy girl in the BBC’s hugely popular remake of “Poldark” (BBC, 2015). Last year, Sabrina played a young and innocent countryside girl falling in love with a soldier during WW1 in the BBC’s drama “The Passing Bells” (UK, Poland 2014) and her upcoming projects include FOX’s “Da Vinci’s Demons” airing this Spring. Sabrina followed with her guest roles in “The Innocents” (2018) and “Victoria” (2019) before she was cast to play her most notable role as Siena Rosso in “Bridgerton” in 2020. After leaving the show, Sabrina went on to star as Mariette Larkin in the series “The Larkins” in 2021, sharing with the rest of the cast the Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
However, she was seen in less than 10 episodes, so again she left her fans wondering why she left this series, too. Just a little more patience, and you will find out what happened.
Roles in movies
Sabrina made her movie debut as Elleen in the 2014 short movie “The Crossing”, written and directed by Nathalie Biancheri, which brought Sabrina a nomination for the NewFilmmakers Los Angeles Award- Best Performance, Drama.

Love life and relationships
Like many young actresses, Sabrina has been the subject of numerous rumors concerning her love life, however, she hasn’t commented on these assumptions. It’s known that from 2018 to 2021 she was in a relationship with actor Tom Greaves, perhaps known best for his role as PC Collins in the 2021 TV mini-series “Temple”.
The two met through a mutual friend, and began dating soon afterwards. A source close to Sabrina has stated that the couple was very much in love, however, it seems that the age difference was a big problem for them – Tom is 10 years older than Sabrina.
Following their break-up in 2021, Sabrina moved back to her parent’s home, and as of March 2023, it seems that she’s single, hasn’t been married or engaged, and doesn’t have children.
What happened to her?
People were shocked when she left “Bridgerton”, since it seemed that her character is quite important for the story. Sienna was a secret lover of Lord Anthony, and viewers expected that their story would grow. However, after Anthony ended their relationship, Sienna went on to find a new man. Although people thought that she would return, when Anthony distracts himself with Edwina, it was clear that Sabrina’s character wouldn’t be seen again; the audience accepted the fact that the plot centers on a different character.
However, the biggest surprise was Sabrina’s leaving “The Larkins”. She was seen in the first season, but in the second she was replaced by Joelle Rae. Sabrina’s publicist stated that the reason for her departure was ‘scheduling clashes’, but The Daily Mail reported that it was due to ‘sensitive on-set disagreement’. Sabrina hasn’t commented about her decision to leave the series.
Many critics said that this was her breakthrough after nearly a decade of supporting roles, and that she missed the opportunity that would have elevated her to superstardom.
Most recently, she was heard voicing the character of Izelair Wigan in the 2022 video game “The DioField Chronicle”. There is no info about her current projects.
Thanks to her acting career, Sabrina has earned a decent amount of money. According to sources as of March 2023, her net worth has been estimated at over $3 million.
