Abigail Diane Gustafson was born as under the zodiac sign of Taurus on 4 May 1985, in Chicago, Illinois USA; she holds American nationality and her ethnicity is of mixed Swedish, English, Scots, and Irish descent. Abigail was raised in Chicago by her parents Diana and Robert Gustafson, with her sister whose name she hasn’t disclosed. Abigail also hasn’t disclosed when and why she changed her professional surname to Hawk.
She attended North Springs Charter School of Arts and Sciences, and upon matriculating in 2003, enrolled at the University of Maryland, College Park, from which she graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts.

Abigail made her first appearance on the big screen in 2008, portraying Sara in “The Unidentified” alongside Jay Sullivan, Erin Ecklund and Lauren Shannon, followed by her role as Maria Macabre in the short movie “The Tragedy of Maria Macabre”, written and directed by Rachel Klein.
In the following years, she was cast to play Ellie in “Almost Paris”, which brought her a nomination for the Beaufort International Film Festival, US Award Best Actress, and Hill Country Film Festival, US Award Best Actress in 2017. She then made an appearance as Riley Thomas in the TV movie “A Christmas in Vermont”, alongside David O’Donnell and Chevy Chase.

Abigail made her acting debut on TV aged 10 in 1995, starring alongside John Aaron Bennet and Blake Heron in the series “Reality Check”, and then after almost a decade, she made an appearance as Jenny Avery in an episode of the series “Body of Proof”, followed by her most significant role as Detective Abigail Baker in “Blue Bloods”; the interesting fact about her character is that at first it was named Melissa but the director of the series, Tom Selleck, decided to change that into Abigail, saying that Melissa sounds too ordinary!

There have been various rumors concerning Abigail’s love life and sexual orientation, however, she hasn’t spoken about her previous relationships before she met her future husband, Bryan Spies.
As mentioned, Abigail prefers to keep information about her private life away from the media’s attention, so she hasn’t revealed how their love story started. However, it’s known that Bryan worked at Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bakery in New York City, before he started his service as a medic at the Fire Department City of New York.
The news about Abigail’s and Bryan’s engagement was announced in March 2009, and the two married on 25 April, the wedding ceremony held in Roswell, New Mexico in the presence of their closest family members and friends.
