Samantha Lynne ‘Sammi’ Hanratty was born in Scottsdale, Arizona USA, on 20 September 1995 – her zodiac sign is Virgo, and she holds American nationality. She’s an actress with over 60 credits to her name, while she’s perhaps known best for her portrayal of Kassidi in the critically acclaimed comedy series “Shameless”. Created by Paul Abbott and John Wells, it starred Emmy Rossum, William H. Macy and Ethan Cutkosky, and follows the lives of a Chicago family. Early life and education
Sammi was raised alongside her three brothers and four sisters in Los Angeles, California, by their father Brian who’s a dentist, and their mother Ellen Hanratty who’s a housewife; not a lot is known about Sammi’s family, as they prefer to be left out of media. Sammi’s the youngest amongst the siblings.
She became interested in acting at a very early age, and upon noticing this, her parents enrolled her at an acting school. Sammi made her debut TV series appearance aged nine, when cast to play Adele, in an episode of the drama “Passions”; the same year of 2005 saw her appear in an episode of three other series: the fantasy mystery drama “Charmed”, the family comedy “Drake & Josh”, and the mystery drama “House”.
She also made her debut film appearance in the same year, with her portrayal of Little Girl in the musical comedy “Last Laugh ‘05”.
Sammi continued acting throughout her entire education. She attended a local high school in Los Angeles, and upon matriculating in 2013, didn’t enroll at college, but rather chose to focus on her acting career.
Roles in TV series
Sammi gained recognition in 2006, when cast to play Holly in five episodes of the family comedy “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody”, created by Jim Geoghan and Danny Kallis, and which starred Cole Sprouse, Brenda Song and Dylan Sprouse. It follows twin boys who are being raised by their single mother; the series aired from 2005 to 2008, and won eight of the 34 awards for which it was nominated, including three Primetime Emmy nominations.
The following years saw Sammi portray supporting characters in various series, such as the romantic family comedy “iCarly”, the fantasy comedy drama “Pushing Daisies”, and the action thriller “The Unit”. Her following notable performance was in 2014, when she was cast as Megan Acosta, in the popular action thriller drama “Chosen”, created by Ben Ketai and Ryan Lewis, and which starred Caitlin Carmichael, Chad Michael Murray and Nicky Whelan. It follows the lawyer Ian Mitchell, who has awoken to find a loaded gun and a picture of a stranger in a box in front of his door, and realizes that if he doesn’t kill the stranger in three days, he and his daughter will be killed instead; the series won four of the seven awards for which it was nominated.
Three of Sammi’s most recent roles in TV series have all been in the 2019 – the episode “Where the Sun Don’t Shine” of the mystery crime drama “Grand Hotel”, the episode “5318008” of the action adventure comedy “Daybreak”, and eight episodes of the mystery fantasy drama “Timeline”; she’s currently shooting for the upcoming drama “Yellowjackets”.

In 2006, Sammi was cast to play British Girl, in the critically acclaimed action adventure fantasy “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest”, directed by Gore Verbinski, and which starred Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley. It follows the pirate Jack Sparrow and his friends, as they’re trying to find the heart of Davy Jones; the movie won 46 awards, including an Oscar, while it was nominated for 54 other awards.

A couple of Sammi’s following roles were in the 2006 family adventure comedy “The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause”, later in 2006 the drama “Hello Sister, Goodbye Life”, and the 2008 action crime thriller “Hero Wanted”. In 2009, she was cast to play Little Jody in the romantic comedy “Finding Bliss”, as well as Gretel in the family adventure comedy “Jack and the Beanstalk”.
In 2014 we saw Sammi play Zoe in the comedy “Moms’ Night Out”, directed by Andrew Erwin and Jon Erwin, and which starred Sarah Drew, Sean Astin and Patricia Heaton. It follows Allyson and other mothers who are having a night out, while their other halves are looking after their children.
Three of Sammi’s most recent roles in movies have been in the 2019 thriller “Skin in the Game”, the horror thriller “Countdown” also in 2019, and the 2021 thriller drama “Another Girl”.

Sammi and Ryan could’ve been seen attending most of their red carpet events together, but in 2009 the two broke up for unknown reasons.
In the second half of the 2010s, she was in a relationship with Lucas Watson, an American YouTuber, film director and actor, whose channel is today subscribed to by more than 6.2 million people. Sammi was featured in several of his YouTube videos, but the two split sometime in 2020, again for unspecified reasons.
Sammi’s today in a relationship with Christian DeAnda, an American visual effects supervisor, and the two have uploaded numerous pictures featuring themselves together, onto their Instagram accounts.
As of September 2021, Sammi’s dating Christian DeAnda, hasn’t married, and doesn’t have children.

Sammi’s highly active on Instagram, and seems to be enjoying the attention which she’s receiving from her more than 350,000 followers. She’s uploaded over 1,000 pictures onto the network, and the majority of these taken during her everyday life, and feature her at the beach, with her boyfriend, and while shopping.
Summer’s her favorite season, as she loves sun tanning at the beach, showing off her body, and playing beach soccer and volleyball. Sammi also likes autumn, because of its colors.
She’s into travelling, and her acting career has taken her to various US states, while she’s also been to many European countries, including England and France; her dream travel destination is Florence in Italy.
Sammi has her own favorite actors and actresses, some of whom are Jim Carrey, the late Robin Williams, and Emma Watson – couple of her favorite movies are “Bruce Almighty”, “Patch Adams”, and the franchise “Harry Potter”.
