Early Life, Family, Educational Background

Alex Curry was born on 27 May 1987 under the zodiac sign of Gemini, in Manhattan Beach, California USA. She is of White Caucasian ethnicity and holds American nationality. Alex is the oldest of four sisters; her father, Tim Curry was an entrepreneur, while her mother, Peggy was the homemaker.

At a young age, Alex developed an interest in musical theatre and sports; her love for soccer, won out.

Career

Alex’s career kicked off partially while she was in college. She interned with Fuel TV and Joel Lewis Production Company as a production assistant in her freshman year.

Upon her graduation, she worked as a bartender, and hosted some events for free to build her portfolio.

She met the Fox Sports Producer who would turn her life around when bartending at a popular sports bar Baja Sharkeez, in Manhattan Beach.

Coincidentally, she also met her future manager Peter Gallagher in that period, who quickly signed her up for additional representation at ICM. Speaking of Curry’s talent, Gallagher said, ‘she is just herself, and it comes across on camera. Her drive doesn’t emanate from a lack of esteem or need for attention; she genuinely loves to get to know people, and tell their stories.’

Alex accepted a role as a production assistant on the late-night show “Last Call With Carson Daly” in 2010, and within two years post-graduation, Curry had also worked as a talent manager for ESPN’s “X Games”, and a host on “E! News Now” and “Fuel TV Download”.

In 2011, Alex spent a month in China, covering the World University Games for Fox College Sports. However, 2012 was Alex’s breakthrough year – she signed a contract with NBC, which had her traveling worldwide to cover the action sports program “Red Bull Signature Series”, and the “Pro Beach Volleyball” program on NBC Sports.

Still in 2012, she hosted the campus sports tour, “Tailgate 48” on Big Ten Network, and served as the sideline reporter for the CIF- SS football game of the week on FS1 and Fox Sports West.

After a series of freelance partnerships with FOX, Alex Curry joined FOX Sports West in 2012, to host its Friday shows “Angels Weekly” and “Kings Weekly”.

Two years later, she took on more roles as the reporter of the Angels’ and Kings’ respective telecasts, also joining the broadcast team to cover the “Kings 2014 Stanley Cup Championship”. She has since won three Telly awards for her contribution to the Angels and Kings weekly shows.
