At a young age, Alex developed an interest in musical theatre and sports; her love for soccer, won out.
She started playing the game at age five, and has never left the sport since then.
She also took part in various school plays, including “Still Standing” and “7th Heaven”.
Alex’s parents were strict with their daughters, and placed a limit on their daily television time. However, watching Brooke Burke host “Wild” on E! inspired her to become a TV presenter.
She matriculated from Mira Costa High School where she played competitive soccer. In her sophomore year at San Diego State University, she joined the women’s soccer team, and they won the National Intercollegiate-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) National Championship title in 2006.
She also served as the recruitment chair of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. In fact her college days were full, as she shuttled between Los Angeles and SDSU to keep up with her budding career in sports journalism and her academics.
Alex graduated from San Diego University in 2010, with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism Media Studies, and a minor in Marketing. She moved back home, and trained in Marki Costello’s hosting academy.

Upon her graduation, she worked as a bartender, and hosted some events for free to build her portfolio.
She met the Fox Sports Producer who would turn her life around when bartending at a popular sports bar Baja Sharkeez, in Manhattan Beach.
Coincidentally, she also met her future manager Peter Gallagher in that period, who quickly signed her up for additional representation at ICM. Speaking of Curry’s talent, Gallagher said, ‘she is just herself, and it comes across on camera. Her drive doesn’t emanate from a lack of esteem or need for attention; she genuinely loves to get to know people, and tell their stories.’
Alex accepted a role as a production assistant on the late-night show “Last Call With Carson Daly” in 2010, and within two years post-graduation, Curry had also worked as a talent manager for ESPN’s “X Games”, and a host on “E! News Now” and “Fuel TV Download”.
In 2011, Alex spent a month in China, covering the World University Games for Fox College Sports. Still in 2012, she hosted the campus sports tour, “Tailgate 48” on Big Ten Network, and served as the sideline reporter for the CIF- SS football game of the week on FS1 and Fox Sports West.
After a series of freelance partnerships with FOX, Alex Curry joined FOX Sports West in 2012, to host its Friday shows “Angels Weekly” and “Kings Weekly”.
Two years later, she took on more roles as the reporter of the Angels’ and Kings’ respective telecasts, also joining the broadcast team to cover the “Kings 2014 Stanley Cup Championship”. She has since won three Telly awards for her contribution to the Angels and Kings weekly shows.

Alex’s skills as a smooth talker on and off TV come naturally to her.
In an interview with The Daily Aztec, she said, ‘I love performing, I love talking. I can figure out what I want to say in my head, and just say it.’
