Greyston Holt was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on 30 September 1985 – his zodiac sign is Libra, and he holds Canadian nationality. He’s an actor and a film producer, with close to 60 acting credits to his name, perhaps known best for his portrayal of the main character Clayton Danvers, in the critically acclaimed fantasy horror drama “Bitten”. It also starred Laura Vandervoort and Greg Bryk, and follows Elena, who’s the only female werewolf; the series aired from 2014 to 2016, and won one of the nine awards for which it was nominated.

Early life and education

Greyston was raised on Salt Spring Island in British Columbia, Canada, by his father Mike, and mother Nancy; as he hasn’t mentioned having any siblings, he’s believe to be an only child. His grandparents Edith and Mike Stefancsik came to Canada from Hungary in 1957.

Greyston became interested in acting while attending a local high school, and was also into playing the guitar. He was 16 when he joined his first band, while he eventually joined his father’s band. Upon matriculating in 2004, Greyston made his debut film appearance in the horror “The Sisterhood”, and the same year saw him appear in the romantic comedy movie “Perfect Romance”. He then chose not to pursue a college degree, but to focus on acting.

Roles in movies

Greyston gained recognition in 2006, when he portrayed Jaron in the biographical drama “A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story”, directed by Agnieszka Holland, and which starred Mercedes Ruehl, JD Pardo and Lupe Ontiveros. It tells the story of a transgender woman who was murdered in 2002; the film won one of the three awards for which it was nominated.

A couple of Greyston’s following roles were in the 2008 horror thriller drama “Nightmare at the End of the Hall”, the 2008 horror thriller comedy “Lost Boys: The Tribe”, and also the 2008 sports comedy “Slap Shot 3: The Junior League”. In 2011, we saw Greyston play Charlie, in the mystery crime thriller “The Killing Game”, directed by Bobby Roth, and which starred Laura Prepon, Ty Olsson and Brian Markinson; it follows a forensic sculptor who’s trying to catch her daughter’s murderer. In 2012, Greyston starred in the action adventure drama “Hannah’s Law”, and the same year saw him appear in the family drama “The Horses of McBride”.

In 2013, he was cast to play Rick, in the crime drama “She Made Them Do It”, directed by Grant Harvey, and which starred Jenna Dewan, Mackenzie Phillips and Steve Bacic.

It tells the story of Sarah Pender, who was found guilty of masterminding a double murder; the movie was nominated for a Canadian Cinema Editors Award for Best Editing in Television Movie or Mini-Series (for Gordon Rempel). The year 2014 saw Greyston make an appearance in four movies, including the popular action horror thriller “See No Evil 2”, and the romantic family drama “The Christmas Secret”.

Three of Greyston’s most recent movie roles have been in 2020 – the romantic drama “A Very Country Christmas: Homecoming”, the romantic comedy “Cross Country Christmas” – and the 2021 romantic drama “A Wedding to Remember”. He’s currently shooting for the upcoming mystery crime drama “Lou”.

Roles in TV series

Greyston made his debut TV series appearance in 2005, with his portrayal of Aaron Wheeler in the episode “Dreams and Schemes” of the hit historical adventure mini-series “Into the West”.

It starred Joseph M. Marshall, Irene Bedard and Gil Birmingham, and follows the lives of two families, one Native American and the other white settlers, living in the American West in the 19th century; the mini-series won 24 awards, including two Primetime Emmys, while it was nominated for 32 other awards.

The following years saw Greyston make a guest appearance in an episode or two of various series, such as the romantic adventure drama “Smallville”, the fantasy horror drama “Blood Ties”, and the mystery science fiction drama “The 4400”. Between 2007 and 2010, he starred as Ray Prager Jr., in the action crime drama “Durham County”, created by Laurie Finstad-Knizhnik and Janis Lundman, and which also starred Hugh Dillon and Helene Joy.

Greyston then returned to making guest appearances, in series such as the mystery science fiction drama “Fringe”, the science fiction drama “Stargate Universe”, and the action fantasy drama “Sanctuary”.

In 2017, he was cast to play Kyle in the mystery science fiction drama “Somewhere Between”, created by Stephen Tolkin, and which starred Paula Patton, Devon Sawa and Aria Birch. It follows a local news producer, who has been allowed to relive a week of her life, as to try and prevent a serial killer from murdering her daughter; the series won three of the eight awards for which it was nominated.

Three of Greyston’s most recent roles in TV series have been in the 2020 episode “The Perfect Wedding” of the drama “The Wedding Planners”, six episodes of the family drama “Chesapeake Shores” and five episodes of the critically acclaimed mystery crime drama “Riverdale” both in 2021.

Other credits

Greyston has featured in a couple of TV specials, such as the 2008 “The 10th Annual Leo Awards”, the 2015 “Women in Horror Month: Massive Blood Drive”, and the 2016 “3rd Annual An Evening with Canada’s Stars”.

In 2020, Greyston produced the romantic drama movie “A Very Country Christmas: Homecoming”.

He has made two guest appearances in the talk- show “Katie Chats”.

Greyston was nominated for three Leo Awards, in 2008, 2014 and 2021, for his performance in “Durham County”, “Bitten” and “Cross Country Christmas”, respectively.

He was also nominated for a 2015 Golden Maple Award for Best Actor in a TV Series Broadcast in the US, for his performance in “Bitten”.

Love life and wife

Greyston prefers to keep the details of his love life to himself, but it’s widely known that he‘s been in a relationship with Cristina Rosato for around 15 years now. The two met in 2005 while shooting for the mini-series “Into the West”, and could since have been seen attending most of their red carpet events together. Cristina is also an actress, and is known for her roles in the movies “Let the Game Begin”, “Bad Santa 2” and “Hidden 3D”.

There are rumors circulating the internet claiming that Cristina and Greyston have decided not to have children, as they want to focus on their careers, however, there are also those who believe that one of them is perhaps infertile; none of this has been confirmed.

As of September 2021, Greyston is in a relationship with Cristina Rosato, hasn’t married, and doesn’t have children.

Hobbies and other interests

Greyston is physically highly active, and has multiple training sessions at the gym each week, thus his muscular body. It seems as summer is his favorite season, as he enjoys showing off his body at the beach, swimming in the ocean, and sun tanning.

Greyston likes to travel, and his acting career has taken him to various Canadian cities, while he has also been to a couple of US states and European countries; his dream travel destination is Kyoto in Japan.

He’s a huge lover of animals, with deer and elephants being his favorites. Greyston has volunteered at a couple of animal shelter, and has apparently also donated money to several.

In his spare time, he enjoys watching movies starring his favorite actor and actress, Will Smith and Anne Hathaway, such as “Independence Day”, “Les Miserables” and “One Day”.

Greyston is interested in architecture, and his Instagram account is filled with pictures of various buildings and bridges.
