Rachael Ann Laudiero (nee MacFarlane) was born in Kent, Connecticut USA, on 21 March 1976 – her zodiac sign is Aries, and she holds American nationality. She’s a voice actress and a singer, who has been credited with voicing and playing characters in over 50 movies and TV series, while she’s perhaps still known best for having voiced Hayler Smith, Barb Hanson and several other characters, in the critically acclaimed animated comedy series “American Dad!” Created by Mike Barker, Seth MacFarlane and Matt Weitzman, it also stars Seth MacFarlane, Wendy Schaal and Scott Grimes, and follows the CIA agent Stan Smith, as he’s keeping America safe while also being a family man; the series has been airing since 2005, and has won one of the 36 awards for which it has been nominated, including four Primetime Emmy nominations.
Early life and education
Rachael was raised in Kent alongside her older brother Seth MacFarlane, by their parents Ann Perry Sager (died in 2010 aged 63) and Ronald Milton MacFarlane. Rachael’s brother is today a famous actor, film producer and director, who’s perhaps known best for having created the animated comedy series “Family Guy”; her father was a high school teacher, while her mother worked at the Kent School’s College Guidance and Admissions Offices.
Rachael became interested in acting while attending a local high school, mostly because her brother had already launched his career in the film industry.
She was into various other activities, including creative writing, singing and dancing, but as she was urged by her parents to focus on her education, upon matriculating in 1994, Rachael enrolled at Boston Conservatory, but soon regretted it, dropped out, and moved to Los Angeles, California in 1998.
Roles in TV series
She launched her career in 1999, when she began voicing Miss Tammy, Barbara and various other characters in the popular animated comedy “Family Guy”, created by her brother who’s also starring in it, alongside Alex Borstein and Seth Green. It follows the lives of a dysfunctional family, has been airing to this day, and has won 46 awards, including nine Primetime Emmys, while it has been nominated for 103 other awards; Rachael’s still a member of the cast today.

She was then invited to play various characters in many popular animated series, including the adventure comedy “Johnny Bravo”, the action adventure “The Powerpuff Girls”, and the action comedy “Filmore!” Between 2002 and 2007, Rachael voiced one of the main characters, Mindy – as well as multiple others – in the animated adventure comedy “The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy”, created by Maxwell Atoms, and which also starred Greg Eagles, Richard Steven Horvitz and Grey Griffin. It follows the Grim Reaper who has lost a bet, and now has to spend eternity travelling with two kids; the series won three awards, including a Primetime Emmy, while it was nominated for six other awards.
Rachael could then have been heard voicing characters in many animated series, including the action adventure “Codename: Kids Next Door”, the family drama “Can You Teach my Alligator Manners?”, and the short comedy “Seth MacFarlane’s Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy”. Some of her most notable performances in the 2010s were her voicing of Chimera in seven episodes of the animated action adventure “Winx Club”, Wonder Woman in seven episodes of the superhero drama “DC Super Friends”, and Computer in the adventure comedy drama “The Orville”.

Rachael’s debut movie voicing performance was in the 2006 animated action adventure “Codename: Kids Next Door – Operation Z.E.R.O.”, while a couple of her following roles were in the 2007 animated adventure comedy “Billy & Mandy’s Big Boogey Adventure”, the 2008 animated action comedy “Underfist: Halloween Bash”, and the 2010 animated family adventure “Lego Atlantis”.
In 2015, we saw Rachael portray Meighan Assistant, in the critically acclaimed 2015 comedy “Ted 2”, marking one of her rare appearances in live-action movies. She exchanged vows with the American animator and film director Spencer Laudiero on 4 May 2008, in front of their closest friends and family members; Spencer’s probably still known best for having worked in the art department of the animated series “The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy”, which was also how he met Rachael. In November 2009, Rachael gave birth to their daughter Bella Francesca, and in June 2015 to their second daughter Perrin Elizabeth.
Neither Rachael nor Spencer have spoken of any other people whom they had perhaps been with before meeting each other, so as of September 2021, Rachael’s married to Spencer Laudiero, and they have two daughters.
Hobbies and other interests
Unsurprisingly, Rachael’s a huge fan of animated movies and TV series, and watched these nearly every day while she was growing up. A couple of her favorite animated comedy series include “Rick and Morty”, “American Dad!” and “Solar Opposites”, while a couple of her favorite animated films include the trilogy “The Lion King”, “Megamind” and “Despicable Me”.
Rachel also enjoys watching Hollywood movies, and her favorite actors and actresses are Jim Carrey, the late Robin Williams, and Julia Roberts, while a couple of her favorite movies are “Bruce Almighty”, “Patch Adams” and “Pretty Woman”.
Rachael’s also an author, and her book “Eleanor Wyatt, Princess and Pirate” was published on 6 November 2018.
She loves to travel, and has been all around the US for both work and pleasure, while Rachael has also been to many European countries; her dream travel destination is Athens in Greece.
