He is the son of Shasheem Najm, a singer and teacher, and Aliyah Najm, a Bahamian chef. He has four siblings, two brothers named Nakim and Rasheed, and two younger siblings, named Keke King and A’pril Najm. Although he was raised in a Muslim family, he isn’t religious. He developed his love for music from the age of three, after visiting his family’s friend Ben Tankard and spending some time at his recording studio.
