Oliver Peck Wiki Bio
Oliver Peck was born in Dallas, Texas USA, on 29 July 1971 – his zodiac sign is Leo, and he holds American nationality. He’s a tattoo artist and a TV personality, who’s probably known best for having served as a judge on the reality show “Ink Master” for three seasons, between 17 January 2012 and 14 April 2020. The show today stars Dave Navarro and Chris Nunez, and follows ten tattoo artists who are competing to become the best artist, and to win the title ‘Ink Master’ and $100,000; it won Tim Warren a Directors Guild of America Award nomination for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Reality Programs.
Oliver quit the show because photos of him were leaked onto the internet, which featured him wearing brown face paint, a superhero costume and an Afro wig.
Early life and education
Oliver was raised in Dallas by his mother Diane Lucas, and father whose name he hasn’t revealed; nothing is known about his parents, but it’s said that they were quite poor while Oliver was growing up. Because he hasn’t mentioned having any siblings, most people believe that he’s an only child.
Oliver studied at South West High School, and was into various activities during his four years there, mostly into basketball.
He was 15 when he became interested in tattoos, and was 17 when he started tattooing himself and then his friends. At the age of 19, Oliver was hired to work at a tattoo studio, thus turning professional.
He matriculated in 1989, and didn’t attend college.
Career as a tattoo artist
Back in 1995, Oliver threw a tattooing party for Friday the 13th, offering tattoos which cost only $13. He then organized the event every year on Friday the 13th, and in June 2008 broke the record for the number of tattoos inked in one day – Oliver had tattooed 415 people, although the size of the tattoos is unknown.
He attracted a lot of attention after he was cast as a judge in “Ink Master”, and his Elm Street Tattoo shop started attracting even more customers.
In 2015, Oliver was named Best Tattoo Artist by the magazine “Dallas Observer”, and various other magazines went on to write about him, such as “Central Track” and “OC Weekly”, claiming that Oliver is amongst the best tattoo artists in the US, if not also in Europe.
Oliver opened his own restaurant, Tiki Loco in October 2018, in Deep Ellum, Dallas; the space was previously taken by the restaurant Zini’s Pizza. Oliver’s Tiki Loco offers coffee and vegan food, and has received good reviews from a number of magazines; it’s also widely known and respected that the restaurant distributes its leftovers to nearby hospitals.
Oliver made his debut TV appearance in a 2006 episode of the comedy “The Royal Town Crier”, and in 2007 he was invited to appear in the episode “I’ll Never Be Single Again” of the reality comedy series “Bam’s Unholy Union”, and to star in the documentary film “El Mechanico Loco” alongside Jeff Milburn.
In 2008, Oliver served as a judge in the reality show “Engine Room”, while the following year saw him win his one and (so far) only acting role: he portrayed Top Hat in the short science fiction horror movie “Hunger”. It was written and directed by Chad Jackson, starred Glen Vorhis, Tom Rutherford and Garett Moran, and follows a corrupt politician who’s being chased by farmers who want to kill him; the movie was nominated for two awards.
In 2017, Oliver was featured in the short film “GQ: Tattoo Artists Critique Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and More Celebrity Tattoos”, and in 2018, we saw him appear in the episode “Travel Log II: Dallas, TX” of the reality show “Open Road Tattoo Tour”; it follows four tattoo artists who are travelling around the US while working, and searching for inspiration.
Oliver has appeared in only one other show: in the 2019 short reality family series “Ink Master Superfan: A Day in the Life”, which follows the autistic boy Derek Paradis who’s a huge fan of the series “Ink Master”, and has now been invited to meet its cast.
Wife and daughter
Back in 2003, Oliver exchanged vows with the famous Mexican-American tattoo master Katherine Von Drachenberg, perhaps known better as Kat Von D; Kat is also a model, singer and an entrepreneur.
Kat was 14 years old when she got her first tattoo, and was 16 when she quit school and started working as a tattoo artist. She’s probably known best for having starred in the TLC series “LA Ink”, which features her working at her own tattoo studio – High Voltage Tattoo.
Oliver and Kat divorced in 2007, Oliver saying that Kat was cheating on him, and that she eventually decided to leave him.
Since 2019, Oliver has been in a relationship with Audra Cabral, a non-celebrity American woman who’s a huge fan of tattoos, and is vegan.
As of November 2021, Oliver’s in a relationship with Audra Cabral, was married to Kat Von D, and doesn’t have children, although rumored to have a daughter with Kat.
