Who is Ava Morse?
American actress Ava Lorren Morse was born in Chicago, Illinois USA, on 16 November 2005, making Scorpio her zodiac sign. She’s had roles in nine TV series and movies, and is probably known best for voicing Miriam, one of the main characters in the hit 2022 animated adventure comedy movie “Turning Red”, written and directed by Domee Shi, and which also starred Rosalie Chiang and Sandra Oh. It follows 13 years old girl Meilin whose emotions can turn her into a red panda, and the movie won seven of its 94 award nominations, including an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Feature Film.
Education and early life
Ava was raised in Chicago by her parents who are highly supportive of her acting career, while her mother’s also her manager; not a lot else has been shared about Ava’s mother and father, because she respects their privacy. She hasn’t mentioned having siblings, and most of Ava’s fans believe her to be an only child.
She fell in love with acting at the age of five, when she began watching TV series with her mother, and Ava made her debut TV series appearance aged eight, playing Emmy Willhite in the 2014 episodes “Stepping Stone” and “Wrong Side of the Bars” of the crime action “Chicago P. D.”, which Derek Haas and Michael Brandt created, and which today stars Jason Beghe, Patrick John Flueger and Marina Squerciati. It follows the work of police officers in Chicago, the series has been airing since 2014 and has won four of its 11 award nominations. Ava’s since been active in the film industry.
She’s currently attending a local high school in Los Angeles, California from which she should be matriculating in 2024.
Roles in movies
Ava’s debut film role was playing Young Katie in the comedy “The History of Us”, written and directed by Pamela Fryman, and which starred Adam Brody, Janina Gavankar and Tracy Spiridakos; it follows a group of people as they’re going through three different points in life.
In 2016, Ava portrayed Daughter in the short action “Democracy in the Driver’s Seat”, written and directed by Gail Gilbert, and which starred Julie Greenberg, Law Davenport and Rom Barkhordar; it aims to teach its viewers about democracy, and the film won one of its two award nominations.

The following year saw Ava play Young Genie in the comedy “Surprise Me!”, written and directed by Nancy Goodman, and which starred Fiona Gubelmann, Sean Faris and Jonathan Bennett. It follows the life of Genie Burns, owner of a company which throws surprise parties, and the movie was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Streaming Film – Young Artist (Mia Moore).
Ava starred as Maeve in the 2020 short comedy “Meeting Maeve”, which David Tarleton directed, and which also starred Anna Rose Ii-Epstein and Mike Green. It follows a young woman who’s invited her boyfriend and his daughter to meet her parents.
Ava’s had only one other film role: she voiced Ava in the critically acclaimed animated adventure comedy “Ron’s Gone Wrong”, directed by Sarah Smith and Jean-Philippe Vine, and which starred Jack Dylan Grazer, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms. It follows the lives of teenager Barney and his best friend Ron, who happens to be a walking and talking device, and the film was nominated for five awards.
Roles in TV series
Ava’s appeared in only two other TV series besides “Chicago P. D.” She played Young Sam in the episodes “BFD” and “Knick-Knacks and Doodads” of the 2022 comedy “Somebody Somewhere”, created by Hannah Boss and Paul Thureen, and which stars Bridget Everett, Jeff Hiller and Mary Catherine Garrison. It follows the elderly woman Sam as she’s trying to fit in, and the series has won one of its 18 award nominations.

Most recently, and also in 2022, Ava voiced Cinder in the episodes “The Not-So Haunted House/Halloween Heroes” and “Sleepover Stakeout/Rescue Club” of the children’s animated short action “Firebuds”, created by Craig Gerber, and which stars Declan Whaley, Vivian Vencer and Jecobi Swain. It follows a boy who’s found himself in a fantasy world in which vehicles can talk, and the series was nominated for a 2023 GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Children’s Programming.
Love life and relationships
Ava avoids sharing the details of her love life with her fans, and although some people still believe that she’s too young to be dating, they’ve probably forgotten that she’s recently turned 17.
A fan has claimed to have seen Ava and her high school sweetheart spending time together on multiple occasions; it’s also believed that the two have been together for over a year now, but Ava hasn’t addressed these rumors.
Some believe that she’s currently focused on her career and is not pursuing love, but this hasn’t been confirmed either.
Ava seems to be unattached as of March 2023.

Ava enjoys being active on Instagram, and is today followed by close to 15,000 people on the network; she’s posted nearly 100 pictures and videos, with the majority of these having been taken during her everyday life.
She’s passionate about music, and has recently released her debut extended play (EP) “Loveless”; her favorite musicians are Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish and Beyonce.
